Sarah Lehman January 12, 2009

We’re excited to welcome Sarah into our group of dancers, as she joins us a third of the way into the process.

Sarah Lehman graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University where she received her B.F.A. in dance in 2008. While at OSU she was fortunate enough to work with artists such as Bebe Miller, Susan Hadley, Karen Elliot, and Dave Covey who all challenged her endlessly. Since moving to New York in September of last year, she has also been dancing with Amiti Perry in her company amp:dance. Sarah’s love of movement, art, music, and collaboration have shaped her into an artist who has come to perceive dance as unquestionable. It is absolutely necessary in her life and she just wants to share that passion with her audiences.

Lydia Bell is a dance artist based in Bushwick/Ridgewood. She is originally from Portland, Oregon and graduated from Wesleyan University in 2007 with a B.A. in Dance and Classics. She has shown work at AUNTS, Triskelion Arts, WAXworks, Green Space, and Arts on Pier 36. In August 2008 her work was included in a group show at English Kills Art Gallery in Brooklyn. For more information go to lydiabell.wordpress.com.

Lydia worked on Find Me in Here for the first two months of the process, contributing greatly with her movement ideas and questions about the piece. I’m sorry to see her go to pursue an artistic opportunity that poses a scheduling conflict, but wish her the best in her own work!
